Our Management Team
The Ethiopian Translators Association (ETA) is led by a committed and democratically elected Management Team, entrusted with guiding the Association’s strategic direction and daily operations. This team was officially established during ETA’s Founding General Assembly on December 29, 2024, in Addis Ababa.
Rooted in the principles of transparency, accountability, and professional service, the Management Team ensures that all activities align with ETA’s mission of promoting excellence in Ethiopia’s translation and interpretation sector.
Our Leadership Structure
🔹 Board of Directors
The Board provides high-level strategic oversight and defines the long-term vision of the Association. It ensures ETA remains aligned with its founding values, adapts to industry changes, and builds meaningful partnerships.
🔹 Executive Committee
The Executive Committee oversees the day-to-day operations of the Association. Their responsibilities include:
- – Reviewing and approving new memberships
- – Organizing events, trainings, and communications
- – Implementing policies as set by the Board
- – Coordinating with stakeholders, partners, and the general membership
Auditors
Our Auditors play a critical role in safeguarding the financial integrity and ethical standards of ETA. Through regular reviews and compliance checks, they ensure that the Association remains transparent, responsible, and trustworthy.
Governance and Terms
Each position within the Management Team is defined by the ETA Articles of Association and is subject to a fixed term of service. This structure promotes democratic renewal, institutional continuity, and fairness in governance.
The team’s work reflects our collective commitment to building a strong, ethical, and supportive professional community for language service providers in Ethiopia.
